By downloading or using Stories, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Open Source License

Stories is free and open source software licensed under the MIT License. The full license is available at: GitHub Repository

You are free to:

Use Stories for personal or commercial purposes
Modify and adapt the source code
Distribute and share the software
Create derivative works

Condition: You must include the copyright notice and permission notice in any copies.

2. OpenAI API - Your Responsibility

Stories requires you to provide your own OpenAI API key. You are solely responsible for:

Obtaining and maintaining your OpenAI API key
All costs and charges from OpenAI for API usage
Complying with OpenAI's terms of service and usage policies
Keeping your API key secure and confidential
Any content you transcribe using your API key

Pixelspace has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, your use of the OpenAI API or any charges you incur.

3. No Warranty - Use at Your Own Risk

IMPORTANT: Stories is provided "AS IS" without any warranties.

We make no guarantees that Stories will:

Work without errors or interruptions
Be compatible with your system
Provide accurate transcriptions
Meet your specific needs
Be free of bugs or security vulnerabilities

Transcription Accuracy: While we use OpenAI's Whisper API, we cannot guarantee 100% accurate transcriptions. Quality varies based on audio quality, accents, background noise, and other factors outside our control.

Data Loss: We are not responsible for any lost, corrupted, or failed transcriptions, audio recordings, or data.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIXELSPACE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF STORIES.

This includes but is not limited to:

Loss of data, recordings, or transcriptions
Loss of profits or business opportunities
Costs from OpenAI API usage
Errors or inaccuracies in transcriptions
System crashes or conflicts
Security breaches or unauthorized access
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Your use of Stories is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for backing up your data and verifying the accuracy of transcriptions.

5. Third-Party Services

Stories integrates with OpenAI's Whisper API. Your use of OpenAI's services is subject to OpenAI's terms and policies. We are not responsible for OpenAI's services, availability, or any issues arising from their API.

6. Intellectual Property

Stories Application: The Stories application is free and open source software under the MIT License. Source code is available at: GitHub

This Website: The Stories website (www.pixelspace.com/stories/), including its design, graphics, logos, and branding materials, is the property of Pixelspace, LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Fonts: The fonts used on this website are licensed exclusively to Pixelspace and may not be extracted, downloaded, or used outside of viewing this website.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Stories after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
